How to get food assistance

The Food Bank of North Alabama supplies food and household items to over 200 non-profit feeding programs in eleven counties.  Many of them are pantries that give boxes or bags of food to families and individuals that are truly needy.  Others serve free, hot meals to the public.  To find one of our affiliated agencies, click on "Find Food" on the left.  Other services that can help are listed below.


Food Stamps (SNAP)

On October 1, 2008, the name of the Food Stamp program was officially changed to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).  With SNAP, you get an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card.Read more
